Quazi Rahman

Engineering Manager

Quazi Rahman joined Catapult in 2026 and brings an extensive amount of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry as a reservoir engineer, leader and manager. He holds a degree in petroleum engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Throughout his career, he has worked with large independent operators, service companies and consulting firms across the U.S. and internationally. His core expertise includes reserves management, petroleum economics and accounting, development strategy, audits and classical reservoir engineering. He has extensive experience in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. His work includes plays such as the Eagle Ford, Permian, Bakken, Utica and the Gulf of Mexico with companies such as EOG Resources and BHP Billiton.

At Catapult, Quazi focuses on daily engineering operations and reserves management. He works closely with the team to improve deal efficiency, PUD management, impairments and audit readiness. He also supports automation initiatives and business development efforts to help scale the platform and improve execution.

Outside of work, he enjoys photography, hiking and traveling with his wife, Shaheen, an engineer and yoga instructor, and their two sons. Quazi and Shaheen have traveled to all 50 states and across four continents.
