Heath Burnett

Land Manager

Heath started his career in 2007 as a Landman at Cherokee Horn Production after a friend introduced him to the oil and gas business the previous year. Throughout his time in the industry, he has continued to progress into roles of increasing responsibility and leadership, most recently as the Special Asset Manager at The Northern Trust Company over the eight years prior to joining the Catapult team in September of 2023. He enjoys being able to educate the younger generations about the true facts of our vital industry, and how it is essential in maintaining the quality of life of all humans.

Heath obtained a Business Finance degree from SMU-Cox School of Business and was on the football team during his time there. He also holds a Certified Professional Landman Certification (CPL) through the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL). His role as Land Manager at Catapult is crucial to the oversight and synergy of the Land Team and the Company as a whole. His positive attitude, energy, and tenacity with which he approaches the work is valued by all the members of our team and is an asset in his leadership role at Catapult.

Heath feels honored, grateful, and thankful to have the opportunity to be part of such a well-respected and successful company. He loves working side-by-side with high-character, talented individuals that collaborate well together. Outside of work, Heath and his fiancée, Kristen, enjoy spending time with their Jack Russell Terrier, Tilly. They also love to travel, spend time together on the lake, and attend SMU football games.
